Molybdenum (Mo) is an essential nutrient for animals and humans. Molybdenum
is a rare essential trace mineral found in several tissues of the body, highest
concentrations in the liver, kidney, adrenal gland and bone. It is a component
of a number of enzymes, these enzymes share a common "molybdenum cofactor."
Molybdenum breaks down Sulfite compounds in the body, which prevents Sulfur from
accumulating to toxic levels. Molybdenum also may decrease levels of Copper,
preventing it from becoming toxic as well.
The USRDA for Molybdenum is 75 mcg.
Caution: Do not take if you have a Copper deficiency.
